Application Checklist

  1. Review "Membership Criteria" to ensure that your company qualifies for ICA membership.
  2. Send a letter of intent for ICA membership to ICA's President, Ms. Jani Yates. Completed letters of intent can be sent to:

  3. Send recent financial statements from your most surrent fiscal year end along with this completed application to ICA Vice-President of Finance, Melissa Myers CA and mark CONFIDENTIAL on the envelope. This information will only be opened and viewed by her.

After the ICA is in receipt of the above mentioned items, the following steps will be taken:

  1. Visit by ICA staff member to your agency.
  2. Approval by ICA Board of Directors.

Membership Criteria

An applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • An advertising agency serving at least three clients. The agency may specialize in creative, media buying, direct marketing or promotion, and new media.
  • In business for at least 2 years.
  • The company must not be owned or controlled by either an advertiser or one of the advertising media.
  • Ability to satisfy all ICA's financial criteria of:
  1. Profitability for at least the past 2 years;
  2. Strong retained earnings.

BASED ON GROSS REVENUE INFORMATION FROM MEMBER'S LATEST FISCAL YEAR END PRIOR TO JUNE 30TH OF THE CURRENT YEAR.

    *Gross revenue for ICA purposes is:

    All net revenues on advertising-related activities such as Advertising, PR, Art/Design, Studios, Direct Marketing, Interactive, Sales Promotion, Media Services, New Media etc. (That is to say only income you derive from your commissions and fees, not media or production sales.) Net income is all the income you retain, from which you are able to pay your operating expenses and make a profit.
